IV Panel – Facilitation of Energy Sector Decarbonization

IV Panel – Facilitation of Energy Sector Decarbonization

Main conference room

Moderator: Adnan Rondić

The panel will address current and future obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to decarbonisation of the energy sector. The commitments made through the adopted NDC, the Sofia Declaration on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, the Roadmap for Decarbonisation and the NECP (the development of which is underway) define the path for the transformation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s energy sector. Also, discussion will be held on the possibilities of realizing these obligations through the implementation of guarantees of origin (GO), energy efficiency obligation schemes (EEO) and carbon taxation, and sources of funding needed to build infrastructure for electric mobility, active customers – electricity producers and energy efficiency measures.
