Panel XI – Harmonization of Network Capacity and Distributed Generation Development

Panel XI – Harmonization of Network Capacity and Distributed Generation Development

Time: 10:40 – 11:40

Location: The main hall

Moderator: Adnan Rondić

The development of generation facilities that use renewable energy sources is reaching a level that causes local congestions within the transmission and distribution systems. The issue of available capacities for connecting renewable energy sources is present in all countries in the region to some extent.

The objective of the panel is the exchange of information and an assessment of the power system operation under conditions of increased number of requests for the connection of renewable generators to the transmission and distribution network in BiH and region. Panel participants will discuss the most relevant problems in the connection approval process, examples of good practice and measures aimed at increasing connection capacity and ensuring non-discrimination of system users. In addition, issues from the regulatory framework domain will be addressed regarding the connection costs and increasing the network capacity, with an analysis of the possibility of its improvement.
