This presentation introduces the regulators’ role in developing rules and regulations for distributed energy resources and demand response as providers of ancillary services at the distribution level. The training will focus on how the concepts and business models of aggregation and virtual power plants can be regulated and utilized to provide network services to increase reliability. The presentation will contribute to the efforts of the three national regulatory agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina as they undertake energy market reforms and the industry transitions toward cleaner generation sources, two-way power flow paradigms, and decentralized power systems. By learning more about these topics, Summit attendees will become better informed about all the collaborations/partnerships that would be necessary among industry key stakeholders.
